my time spent is about making somethings - making my babies laugh and think, helping plants grow, making bread, working with clay, knitting and sewing, writing words down. i try to be as self contained as possible with one significant exception - relationships. those are also always in the making and I work hard at maintaining ones that matter.

Hmmm...I would never think to put sedums in water even though they look so nice with cut flowers! After the 2 weeks, are the sedums goners, or can they be dried back out and rooted??? Just curious!!!
Thanks.
Julie, they can be left in water until they root (4-6 weeks, maybe longer depending on variety and maturity of mother plant) and then planted straight into potting soil. When individual leaves break off, they can be places on soil surface with point of break touching soil and a new plant will sprout from point of contact. I truly love this process.
